Looks good, but needs more
The PianoFX software has a very strong visual appeal, however there are several things which I noticed that could use improvement. The first is the layout of the keys. There seemed no way to change the keyboard map from the default, which was difficult to use due to its cumbersome layout and nontraditional placement of black keys. This issue alone leaves the piano all but unplayable.
This seems to lead to the next suggestion, a set of preferences to allow tweaking of the program to the users' needs. A good example of this is the previously mentioned keyboard layout.
The ability to record MIDI out, or at least interpret and send MIDI via software output is also essential for a computer program to be useful. As far as features are concerned, I feel that the program needs much more work before money should be asked for from it. The 20 "sample" songs should be removed and replaced with more features such as effects (all GM devices including the soundcard support them) as the samples both look and sound cheesy.
You could be on the verge of something great if you keep developing this program.
If you are interested, I would be willing to offer my assistance to the project.
Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestions.
